If you've had a heck of a week and weren't able to start building your DFS lineups yet, we're here to help you build utilizing players in the games with the highest Over/Under game total. Here are three key players from three main slate matchups.
LA Chargers @ New England Patriots O/U 48
Tom Brady ($7600 Draftkings, $9400 Fanduel)
He's the best Quarterback in the game and in cash games just spend the extra coinage on him in some of your lineups. Chargers have a pretty good Pass D but Brady has 9 TD passes and 0 INTs in four home games averaging 300 yards. You know what you're getting and it's production.
James White ($4900 on Draftkings & Fanduel)
The targets have been on the decline over the last four games, but in none of those contest has he gotten less than five and on full-point PPR DK guys like this are essential when building lineups so we can fit studs in. He's tied with Chris Hogan with 47 targets all season and has just one less than team leader Rob Gronkowski. Pairing Brady and White is a safe bet.
Keenan Allen ($7300 on Draftkings, $7800 on Fanduel)
Allen received a season low amount of targets in Sunday's 21-0 win over Denver, but when you're up most of the game you can afford not to chuck it so much. Prior to the seven he saw, which ain't too shabby if you ask me, he's seen 10-10-9-11-12-9. If you think the Chargers will be down in this game (keep in mind LAC is a west coast team playing a 1pm game on the east coast) Rivers will have to throw and Allen is his favorite target.
Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints (O/U 47)
Mark Ingram ($7400 on Draftkings, $7200 on Fanduel)
The Bears have a decent run defense, but give me a guy who gets the volume and ever since AP left town Ingram has been a workhorse with 47 carries in his last two games combined. He's even seen consecutive games where he's been targeted five times and if you think the Saints will be winning this game at home where they excel then the carries will keep on comin'.
Michael Thomas ($7600 on Draftkings, $7500 on Fanduel)
Thomas is a target monster who saw a season high 11 targets for the second time this season last week, plus he'll be playing in the friendly confines of the Superdome. He's not a must play in lineups and I think he'll have decently high ownership but he's the most reliable Saints pass catcher by far and the guy you're pairing if you have Drew Brees exposure.
Jordan Howard ($6800 on Draftkings, $6900 on Fanduel)
See Mark Ingram, but add ten to those 47 carries in the last two games. That's right, Howard has ran the football 57 times in the last two games and faces a Saints run defense that's allowed a second worst 4.9 ypc. He's not involved in the passing game so I prefer him on Fanduel, but he's viable on both sites.
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins (O/U 47)
Jason Witten ($4200 on Draftkings, $5400 on Fanduel)
The Redskins have allowed the most receiving yards to the TE position this season and Witten's logged 14 targets the past two weeks. Witten has a lengthy and productive history against the Redskins in his career and with the rainy conditions in Landover Dak may look for the shorter pass.
Kirk Cousins ($6400 on DraftKings, $7800 on Fanduel)
Cousins is averaging over 310 yards passing in three home games this year and Dallas allows 64.3% of passes to be completed against them. For that price I'm happy to roster a guy who's thrown for over 300 yards three times in his last four games along with 10 TDs compared to just 2 INTs. Who knows, with the rainy conditions maybe Cousins will take off more and he did find the end zone in Week 6 against the 49ers.
Ezekiel Elliott ($9200 on Draftkings, $9000)
If you've read all the way up to this point, first of all thank you, second of all you'll know that I take the not-so-Einstein approach in targeting RBs who get the volume. Well, Zeke takes the cake out of the backs mentioned and he's running like there's no tomorrow (there might not be, but who knows). Zeke has 22, 21, 29 & 26 carries in his last four games and faces a banged up Redskins defense that will sorely miss LB Mason Foster who was placed on IR with a torn labrum Friday. He's worth the money in all formats.
