Welcome back to our weekly Matchup Report where we try to highlight a few players in favorable positions for the upcoming week.
We have had a strong couple of weeks so let's keep the good vibes rolling as we hit the final few weeks of the regular season.
Minnesota Vikings Running Back Latavius Murray - Vegas currently has the over/under for this matchup between the Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons at 47.5 so they are expecting some points. I like a lot of players in this game including Stefon Diggs who has performed better in a dome than outdoors throughout his career. Diggs is the cheapest he has been since Week 2 on DraftKings at only $6,200 and it appears Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant will miss this game due to a concussion.
However, I'm spotlighting Murray as he continues to be priced in the middle range on both FanDuel and DraftKings, but is performing at a high level. Murray has had at least 15 touches in every game since Week 6 and has found the endzone in three straight contests. According to Football Outsiders, the Falcons rank 32nd in the league which is dead last in rush DVOA. The game flow should line up nice for Murray to get at least another 15 touches.
Los Angeles Chargers Tight End Hunter Henry - The second year tight end has frustrated many fantasy owners this season as his talent hasn't translated into consistent production. However, Henry came alive on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys as he hauled in five passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Henry has now seen five targets in back-to-back games. The Chargers get to face the winless Cleveland Browns who continue to get shredded by tight ends as they have allowed touchdowns in four consecutive games to that position. I like Henry more on FanDuel as he is priced 15th among his position compared to seventh on DraftKings.
New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Michael Thomas - This is going to be a fun week of lineup building because there are a lot of stud wide receivers that are simply mispriced, especially on DraftKings where it's more difficult to build great lineups. Thomas headlines the group as he is priced under $7,000 for the first time all season despite having at least five catches in every game since Week 7 and totaling 70 for the season. I know the Saints are a run oriented team now, but Thomas is still receiving close to 28 percent of the market share in the passing game. Thomas also has the best matchup for any wide receiver this week according to Pro Football Focus. In the last game against the Carolina Panthers, Thomas caught seven passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. By the way, this game is in New Orleans and has an over/under of 48. The Panthers also rank 22nd to the wide receiver position over the last eight weeks according to the My Fantasy Fix Matchup Matrix. I will also point out Mike Evans is way too cheap as well on DraftKings and makes for a solid play.
