WEDNESDAY UPDATE
Weather
Sorry I'm late with this tonight, been a busy day. Temperatures should be pleasant on Thursday, with a near 90 degree day on Friday. Winds are fine on Thursday, but Windfinder suggests there may be 20 mph gusts a lof the day on Friday, particularly in the afternoon. The National Weather Service has 10-15 mph throughout the day on Friday, with winds gradually picking up throughout the day. I think the ever so slight advantage would be to Thursday PM/Friday AM golfers, but I don't think it's enough to alter lineups simply due to weather.
Ownership
Some minor disagreement on who will be the highest owned golfers between Fantasy National and FanShare Sports. Paul Casey, Doc Redman, and Lucas Glover are in the Top 5 of each. The biggest difference is with Erik van Rooyen. He is projected in low to mid 20% range on FanShare, but only in the mid-teens on Fantasy National. I tend to think he will be very popular, unless we are starting to see people thinking that and just getting off of EVR due to that (and potentially because they will just bet him instead of playing him in DFS).
Other players that are most likely to end up in the Top 10 highest owned for the week (in no particular order): Will Gordon, Dustin Johnson, Tony Finau, Sam Burns, Harris English, and Russell Henley.
Other Notes
- James Adams' Betting Card: Glover (25/1), English (35/1), Moore (55/1), Homa (60/1), Charley (70/1), Si Woo Kim (90/1), and Werenski (100/1)
- I suspected on the podcast I may do this, and while I haven't finalized my lineup yet, I do believe I will end up playing Dustin Johnson over Paul Casey. While the ownership numbers aren't as drastic as I thought, I think it will be a bigger spread come lineup lock. Plus, I usually talk myself into a DJ lineup at some point in a field like this.
- I still think I'm planning on EVR in One and Done. However, I am thinking of trying to go completely off the board to make a play in Segment 2 of my large One and Done. If I do, I think I may use Ryan Moore or Charley Hoffman (Ode to James) but I'll be finalizing that shortly.

Opening Thoughts
After seeing the carnage of The Memorial, we should see much easier scoring this week at the 3M Open. It is not a long course and when you see the field, it's not a deep field, as many are taking this week off to get ready for a World Golf Championship next week, and/or the PGA Championship in two weeks. Despite there being a ton of water on the course, scoring and ball striking will be the two main areas I look at. The cut will be under par and the winning score will probably be in the -20 range. If you are looking for a comparison course, look at Detroit Golf Club, home of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Matthew Wolff, the defending champ here, finished 2nd there this year. Bryson DeChambeau, who finished 2nd here last year, won in Detroit this year. Adam Hadwin had a Top 5 both here last year and in Detroit this year. Same thing for Lucas Glover; just Top 10 instead of Top 5.
